As investigation dey unfold, NSCDC yarn say na social media, especially Facebook groups, dem take dey recruit the women. These groups dey target people wey get unwanted pregnancies or those wey dey find adoption options. From there, dem go convince the women say better money dey wait for them after delivery.
Dem reportedly promise the pregnant women between ₦500,000 and ₦1.8 million if dem agree hand over their babies after birth. For many of the victims, the offer look like lifeline, especially with how economy dey show everybody shege. But authorities say na clear case of exploitation, no be help as dem paint am.

Suspects Defend Themselves as NSCDC Call Am Crime Against Humanity
