There have also been disputes over evidence and specific financial claims during the proceedings, showing why the public should wait for court findings rather than allow social-media versions to become unofficial judgments. In December 2025, for instance, reports said the EFCC told the court it lacked evidence supporting Peter’s separate allegation concerning an $800,000 withdrawal.
