NHRC Reports 96 Child Abandonment Cases For Gombe, Urgent Action Needed

National Human Rights Commission Gombe State chapter don record total of 96 cases wey involve pikin wey people don just abandon for different parts of the state. NHRC talk say majority of di abandoned pikin dem dey under five years old.

Di NHRC official wey dey handle child welfare, Malam Usman, talk say di wahala dey worry dem well well because e dey increase every year. E add say government need join hand with communities to stop dis kain behavior.

Dem also advise parents and guardians make dem no dey leave pikin dem to suffer for street because abandonment fit lead to all kinds wahala like malnutrition, sickness, and even exploitation.

Child Abandonment Wahala Dey Rise For Gombe, NHRC Warn

NHRC don warn say di 96 cases of pikin wey dem abandon for Gombe na serious issue wey fit affect di society. Di commission talk say na mostly single mothers and people wey dey face financial struggle dey leave pikin for street or orphanage.

Malam Usman add say di commission dey work with NGOs and local authorities to rescue abandoned pikin dem and provide care. E encourage anybody wey sabi abandoned pikin to report am fast.

National Human Rights Commission also call on Gombe community members to dey vigilant and protect children from neglect. Dem believe say collective effort go reduce di number of abandoned children drastically.
