Dr. Adeleke Clears Davido of Paternity Claims, Cites Multiple Negative DNA Tests

Dr. Adeleke Clears Davido of Paternity Claims, Cites Multiple Negative DNA Tests

Billionaire businessman Dr. Adedeji Adeleke has publicly dismissed renewed paternity allegations linking his son, music star Davido, to a child allegedly fathered by a woman identified as Ayo Labinjo. Speaking candidly, the elder Adeleke stated that several DNA tests have conclusively shown that Davido is not the biological father of the child in question.

According to Dr. Adeleke, the controversy has dragged on for years despite clear scientific evidence. He explained that the first DNA test conducted already confirmed Davido’s non-paternity, a result that reportedly left the child’s grandmother deeply emotional. However, he insisted that emotions could not override facts established by medical science.

He further stressed that the family has acted responsibly throughout the process, prioritising truth and fairness over public sentiment. Dr. Adeleke maintained that his decision to speak again was driven by the need to finally put the matter to rest and protect his son from continued reputational damage.

Adeleke Explains Why Davido’s DNA Results Cannot Be Made Public

Addressing calls for public disclosure of the DNA results, Dr. Adeleke clarified that releasing Davido’s DNA profile would pose serious legal and security risks. He warned that making such sensitive information public could expose his son to future dangers, including potential misuse by law enforcement or malicious actors.

He also noted that sharing the child’s DNA profile was not an option, as the child is a minor and he does not have parental consent to release such information. According to him, these legal and ethical constraints have been deliberately ignored by critics pushing false narratives.

Dr. Adeleke recalled that when Davido first saw the child, he categorically stated that he had never seen her before. Despite this, he said he advised his son to remain calm and allow science to determine the truth, adding that he personally assured Davido that he would fully accept responsibility if the child turned out to be his.

Multiple DNA Tests, Cousin Involvement and Final Confirmation

Unsatisfied with the outcome of the initial DNA test, Dr. Adeleke revealed that he personally arranged additional tests to remove any doubt. He said he covered accommodation and living expenses for Ayo Labinjo, her mother, and another individual identified as Anu, to ensure the process was fair and transparent.

However, he disclosed that the tests were delayed after Ayo’s mother allegedly left angrily for Ibadan before they could be conducted. The matter resurfaced in 2020 when the child’s aunt reportedly reached out to Dr. Adeleke, prompting a fresh round of confirmatory DNA tests.

In total, five DNA tests were carried out, including three involving Davido and two involving his cousin, Bred, following claims that the child might belong to him instead. Dr. Adeleke stated that all results came back negative. To counter allegations of doctored results, he compared the findings with Davido’s 2015 DNA test confirming his daughter Imade at 99.9 percent, noting that the profiles were completely different and even acknowledged by Ayo’s own sister.
