Nigerian TikToker and content creator Jarvis has fired back at critics urging her to show more respect to her husband, fellow streamer Peller, amid their ongoing family drama. She insists that respect should be mutual rather than something one person is expected to give without receiving it in return.
Addressing the criticism, Jarvis questioned why people continued to lecture her about respect, declaring, “I don’t know why you people are teaching me what respect is. Can you people stop all this respect, respect? I don’t have. It’s not there.” Her blunt response has added another layer to the public conversation surrounding the couple’s reported disagreement.
“RESPECT MUST BE RECIPROCAL,” JARVIS TELLS HER CRITICS
Jarvis argued that people often reflect the treatment they receive from others, suggesting that respect within a relationship should work both ways. According to her, the way someone treats another person can influence how that person responds.
“Women, we’re a reflection of whatever is given to us. Whatever you show, that’s what we reflect back. Yes, you give to me what you ask for, and I give it back to you. It has to be reciprocal,” she said.
She also claimed that she is usually calm but feels provoked by the situation, before dismissing further discussion of the matter. Her remarks have raised questions about expectations surrounding respect in marriage, particularly when relationship disagreements play out before a large online audience.
While some critics believe spouses should maintain respect even during disagreements, Jarvis appears to be pushing back against the idea that she alone should be responsible for maintaining harmony. However, her comments do not establish the full circumstances behind the dispute, and Peller’s perspective would be necessary to understand both sides of the disagreement.
JARVIS ASKS CRITICS TO LEAVE HER YOUNGER SISTER DIVINE ALONE
Beyond her response to critics, Jarvis also appealed to the public to stop dragging her younger sister, Divine, into the controversy. She explained that Divine had previously participated in their online activities but eventually stepped away because livestreaming was not something she wanted to continue doing.
According to Jarvis, the sisters initially started AI together, but Divine later withdrew when she could no longer continue with the project. Jarvis added that she had also tried to involve her sister during her wedding, but the effort did not work out.
“You can’t force somebody,” she explained, making it clear that she believes her sister should be allowed to make her own decisions without being pressured by outsiders.
Jarvis ended her appeal with a direct message to social media users: “Please, please do not stress my sister, okay? You people can stress me, but don’t stress her.”
Her statement draws a distinction between her willingness to respond to public criticism and her desire to protect her sister from being pulled into a controversy she did not choose to participate in.
As the online discussion surrounding Jarvis and Peller continues, the situation highlights the challenges public figures face when private relationship disagreements become social media debates. OGM News NG will continue to bring you updates as more details emerge.
