Lagos Power Wahala: Eko Disco Struggle to Restore Light After Lekki-Epe Fire

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco) don yarn say dem dey try restore light for some parts of Lagos after gbege wey happen for Lekki-Epe Expressway. The wahala start after one motor jam stationary gas tanker. You sabi na wah oo!

Di collision cause gbege wey lead to fire, and the fire waka scatter Ibeju and Medallion 33kV feeders. According to Eko Disco, some important conductors and overhead line equipment scatter finish. Na why some areas dey chop darkness now. Dem ask everybody make dem dey patient as dem dey hustle to fix the matter sharp-sharp.

Vehicle Wahala Turn Fire Matter

Eko Disco explain say, na the vehicle crash with the gas tanker make fire start. Dem talk say na big wahala be that because na critical equipment scatter. E no easy at all.

People wey dey around the area come dey fear as smoke and fire dey everywhere. Some even run go side, while others just dey snap video. Na wah oo, but na wetin we dey call gbege for Lagos roads.

Eko Disco Dey Try Bring Light Back

Even though gbege don happen, Eko Disco talk say dem dey work non-stop to restore power. Dem technicians don rush go site dey check which part dem fit fix first to make light shine again.

Dem also advise Lagosians make dem dey careful, no try play with any electric wire for area, and make dem dey patient. “Na only God fit bless you,” one local dey joke, “because light fit take small time come back or e fit play hide and seek for two, three days.”
