“Sanusi Praises Tinubu’s Economic Reforms, Says Nigeria Was Brought Back from the Brink”

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his handling of Nigeria’s economy, saying the President deserves recognition for efforts to stabilise the country’s economic situation.

Sanusi reportedly highlighted improvements in economic growth, inflation, foreign reserves and export diversification as indicators of progress under the current administration.

Sanusi Highlights Economic Improvements

According to the Emir, developments across key economic indicators suggest that Nigeria has made progress from a difficult economic position. He pointed to growth in economic activities, changes in inflation trends, improved foreign reserve conditions and efforts to diversify the country’s exports.

His comments reflect a positive assessment of the administration’s economic direction, particularly its efforts to address longstanding structural challenges.

Economic Reforms Still Face Public Scrutiny

Despite the positive assessment, the impact of the government’s economic policies remains a subject of public discussion. Many Nigerians continue to express concerns about the cost of living, food prices, transportation expenses and the pressure on household incomes.

While improvements in economic indicators may suggest progress at the national level, the extent to which these gains translate into better living conditions for ordinary citizens remains an important issue. Sanusi’s remarks have added to the ongoing conversation about Nigeria’s economic performance under Tinubu. As the administration continues implementing its policies, attention will remain on whether reported improvements can produce sustained economic stability and meaningful relief for Nigerians.

OGM News NG will continue to monitor developments surrounding the economy and the administration’s reform agenda.
