2027: Adebayo Rejects Baba-Ahmed’s Verdict on Presidential Candidates

The 2027 presidential race has entered another round of political verbal gymnastics after candidate Adewole Adebayo of Social Democratic Party rejected Datti Baba-Ahmed’s sweeping verdict that none of the politicians seeking to replace President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can improve Nigeria. The opposition therefore has no shortage of movements, declarations and political calculations—and, apparently, enough confidence to produce several competing solutions to the same Nigerian problem.

The latest exchange underlines the central question likely to dominate the 2027 election: who can actually convince Nigerians that they have the capacity to fix the country?
