Brymo Demands Answers, Not Forgiveness, as Old Chevron Mystery Reignites Around Burna Boy, Davido and 2Baba

Brymo Demands Answers, Not Forgiveness, as Old Chevron Mystery Reignites Around Burna Boy, Davido and 2Baba

Singer Brymo has once again dragged an old and highly controversial chapter of his music-industry journey back into the spotlight, insisting that he is not interested in collecting apologies from Burna Boy, Davido or 2Baba. Instead, he wants the three music heavyweights to answer a much simpler—and potentially more uncomfortable—question: did they genuinely know what happened to him at Chevron, or did they know nothing at all?

The allegation is not entirely new. In 2023, Brymo claimed that he had been attacked by seven men at a hotel around Chevron Drive in Lagos and alleged that 2Baba, Burna Boy and Davido were connected to the incident. He later said that the alleged attackers had been identified to him and that 2Baba had confirmed the number involved. Those claims were reported at the time, but publicly available reporting has not established independent evidence proving that the three artistes organised or participated in such an attack.

Brymo Wants the Question Answered, Not Buried

Brymo’s latest position gives the long-running dispute a different twist. Rather than presenting himself as someone waiting for celebrity reconciliation, he appears to be asking for clarity about an alleged incident that, according to his account, has remained unresolved in his mind for years.

And this is where the story becomes almost too perfectly Nigerian for satire: one singer is asking three major stars whether they knew something, while the public is left wondering whether the answer will ever arrive before another interview, Instagram post or freestyle changes the subject. Brymo has repeatedly returned to disputes involving the same artistes, including his accusations against Burna Boy over alleged similarities between Burna Boy’s songs and his unreleased project Macabre. Burna Boy subsequently mocked Brymo in a freestyle, adding another chapter to their already combustible relationship.

The Chevron Question Refuses to Retire

The Chevron allegation has survived several musical eras, online arguments and celebrity controversies. In 2024, Brymo again accused Burna Boy, Davido and 2Baba of “coming after” him, while warning them to stay away. The trio, however, did not publicly confirm Brymo’s allegations, leaving the central claims unresolved in mainstream public reporting.

The latest development therefore sounds less like a request for peace and more like a demand for an answer. In Brymo’s version of events, forgiveness is not the missing ingredient; information is. Until there is a clear response or credible evidence establishing what actually happened, the Chevron episode remains an allegation—not a proven account—and the entertainment industry may have to keep its popcorn ready for the next instalment.

For now, readers should watch OGM News NG for further developments, especially if Burna Boy, Davido or 2Baba eventually choose to address the question directly. Until then, Brymo’s demand remains hanging in the air: did they know, or did they not?
