Prince Emorioloye Owoloemi, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, was abducted on Tuesday morning after suspected gunmen stormed his office in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area. The daring attack occurred during working hours, throwing the coastal community into panic and uncertainty. Since the incident, the whereabouts of the politician have remained unknown, while family members and associates anxiously await any word from the abductors.
Witnesses narrated that the assailants arrived the area in an unmarked vehicle and moved directly into the office complex where Prince Emorioloye Owoloemi was holding meetings. The gunmen reportedly fired sporadic shots into the air to scare residents before whisking him away to an undisclosed location. Workers in neighbouring buildings were said to have fled for safety as the operation lasted only a few minutes.
