Tinubu Legal Team– The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has raised concerns about the presence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s legal team watermark on the Certified True Copies (CTC) of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) judgment that is currently circulating.
PDP Accuses Tinubu Presidential Legal Team of Self-Incrimination
In a statement released on Monday, PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba pointed out that they carefully examined the inclusion of the Tinubu Presidential Legal Team (TPLT) header on these certified copies.
Ologunagba stated, “The admission by the Tinubu Legal Team that they ‘scanned and watermarked’ their copy of the judgment with the inscription ‘Tinubu Presidential Legal Team ‘TPLT’‘ is self-incriminating and supports the widespread suspicion of pre-determined manipulation by the APC.” He added that the quick admission by TPLT appears to be an attempt to deflect public scrutiny and prevent further revelations on the matter.
Tinubu Legal Team Inscriptions a Default Computer Header
According to Ologunagba, both the PDP and a majority of Nigerians are dissatisfied with the claims made by the Tinubu Legal Team.
He argued that further examination and expert analysis indicate that the documents were not scanned, and the TPLT inscriptions do not qualify as watermarks but rather as a default computer header typically generated by the document’s author.
PDP Demands Clarity
The PDP has demanded that the Tinubu Legal Team clarify how this apparent default header on their computer system is being portrayed as a watermark. They also called for disclosure of specific details, including the time of receipt of their CTC on September 8, 2023, the exact time of watermark imprinting, the identity of the electronic device used for watermarking, and the PDF used in the process for independent analysis.
In their statement, the PDP also insisted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) provide transparent answers on this issue, considering its history of manipulations.
