Samaila Uba, the Director of Defence Information, has officially confirmed that some officers of the Nigerian military were implicated in an alleged plot to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The confirmation followed months of speculation after reports emerged that several officers were arrested and detained by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in October last year over claims of subversive activities against the government.
