President Tinubu Pledges Greater Prosperity, Commends Fintiri and Ribadu During Adamawa Visit

President Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will sustain ongoing economic reforms with a renewed focus on inclusion, empowerment, and shared prosperity. Speaking during a one-day official visit to Yola, Adamawa State, the President Tinubu expressed optimism that the country’s reform agenda is steadily yielding measurable results across key sectors.

The visit, marked by the commissioning of major projects and high-level engagements, also saw the President Tinubu commend Governor Umaru Fintiri for what he described as prudent utilisation of federal allocations and impactful governance. He further praised National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for his leadership in tackling insecurity.

President Tinubu Renewed Commitment to Economic Reforms and Inclusive Growth

During his address, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s determination to reposition the Nigerian economy through policy-driven reforms aimed at macroeconomic stability and long-term growth. He stated that greater allocations to states were a direct consequence of deliberate policy decisions designed to strengthen fiscal capacity at subnational levels.

According to the President Tinubu, investments in agriculture and human capital development remain central to the administration’s strategy. He emphasised the need for Nigeria to attain food security, noting that the country must be able to feed itself sustainably while empowering citizens with skills and opportunities.

He also commended the growing cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments, describing the solidarity as encouraging and essential to achieving national development goals.

President Tinubu Commendation for Adamawa’s Development Projects

President Tinubu lauded Governor Umaru Fintiri for effectively utilising federal allocations to execute projects that directly impact the lives of citizens. He highlighted infrastructure initiatives such as the construction of an eight-lane road and an underpass designed to improve mobility and stimulate commerce in the state.

The President Tinubu also acknowledged investments in education and the judiciary, including the commissioning of a modern high court and model schools across the state. He described the projects as reflections of a government committed to serving the people and strengthening democratic institutions.

Governor Fintiri, in his remarks, expressed appreciation for the President Tinubu visit and support. He disclosed that the state had constructed 21 model schools across its 21 Local Government Areas at a cost of N24.8 billion, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to educational development.

Security, Unity, and Inter-Governmental Collaboration

Addressing security concerns, Tinubu praised National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as honest, bold, and committed. He expressed confidence that ongoing efforts under Ribadu’s leadership would significantly reduce banditry and terrorism.

The President also acknowledged the role of traditional and religious leaders in maintaining peace and fostering unity in Adamawa State. He thanked them for promoting harmony amid ongoing macroeconomic adjustments and political dynamics.

The event was attended by several governors, including Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, alongside ministers and senior government officials, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the gathering.
