President Tinubu is slated to deliver his inaugural address to the Assembly on September 18th. In his speech, he is expected to address a range of critical global issues, including sustainable development, climate change, fostering global cooperation, and the urgent need to combat inequalities and address humanitarian crises worldwide.

Notably, President Tinubu will be the fifth African leader to address the assembly on the first day of the gathering, making him the 14th speaker out of a total of 20 leaders scheduled to speak on Tuesday.

The overarching theme of the 78th UNGA is “Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards Peace, Prosperity, Progress, and Sustainability for All.” This theme underscores the importance of collective action in achieving a better world for everyone.
