Portable Slams VeryDarkMan: “Who Gave You Court Order to Interview Mohbad’s Family?” – New Twist in the Justice for Mohbad Saga

Nigerian street-hop sensation, Portable, has launched a fiery attack on social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) over his recent involvement in the late Mohbad’s case. In a video now circulating widely, Portable questions VDM’s authority to conduct interviews with Mohbad’s family members, particularly the singer’s father, suggesting that his actions are more about clout than justice.

Visibly irritated, Portable demanded to know who gave VDM the right to speak with a grieving family on such a sensitive case. “Who sent you to do interviews? Are you the police? Do you have a court order? Or is your social media page now a legal office?” he said, throwing social media into a frenzy and triggering a new round of public debate.

Let the Law Handle It – Portable Urges Caution

Portable insists the pursuit of justice for Mohbad should now be left entirely in the hands of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary. According to him, social media trials and emotional interviews could derail the official legal process. “Justice comes from the courtroom, not from ring lights and handheld mics,” he declared.

He warned that involving too many online content creators could backfire. “You’re interviewing someone who should be under investigation — what if the story changes tomorrow? What will the court rely on then?” Portable asked, suggesting that such media engagements may compromise the integrity of the case.

Mohbad’s Father’s Interview – Touching But Questionable

VDM’s recent interview with Mohbad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has stirred mixed reactions. While some praised the content for shedding light on ongoing pain and unanswered questions, others criticized the approach as insensitive and lacking discretion. Portable’s reaction echoes those who feel the family’s grief is being commercialized.

In the interview, Mr. Aloba expressed his frustrations with the slow pace of investigations and his own struggles since his son’s death. However, critics are questioning whether it is appropriate to grant multiple interviews before official autopsy reports and court findings are made public. “Justice can’t be found through viral videos,” one viewer commented.

Let the Police Work – Portable Sends Strong Message

Portable called on Nigerians to let the police, Department of State Services (DSS), and courts do their job without unnecessary interference from online influencers. “This isn’t a Netflix drama — a real life was lost,” he said. His appeal is for calm and trust in the legal process, away from public theatrics.

He also criticized those who monetize sensitive cases for content. “You’re getting views, likes, and digital gifts off someone’s pain. That’s not advocacy — it’s exploitation,” he said. While some fans praised Portable’s honesty, others were quick to point out that his tone could be perceived as overly aggressive.

VeryDarkMan Responds: “I’m Fighting for Truth”

In what seemed to be a subtle response, VeryDarkMan posted a series of cryptic messages on Instagram, claiming that his mission is to keep the Mohbad case from being forgotten. Though he didn’t mention Portable directly, he insinuated that his critics were missing the point of his activism.

He defended his actions by saying public pressure was necessary to ensure the case remained a national conversation. “If we stay quiet, they’ll bury the truth,” he wrote. Yet questions are being raised about whether his approach is still ethical or if he is simply leveraging public sympathy to build his personal brand.

Social Media Divided as Fans Pick Sides

The clash between Portable and VeryDarkMan has sent shockwaves through social media. Hashtags like #JusticeForMohbad, #PortableVsVDM, and #MohbadFatherInterview are trending as fans take sides. Some believe Portable is right to call out what they see as opportunism, while others see VDM as a necessary watchdog.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “VDM is keeping the fire of justice burning — Portabl is just shouting.” Another replied, “Portable may be rough around the edges, but he said what many are thinking.” Regardless of which side fans support, one thing is certain — the public remains deeply invested in getting justice for Mohbad.
