Ezinne said that when Olumma requested the funds to continue her business, her husband allegedly attacked her, resulting in her death.
Ezinne further alleged that after the incident, Kelechi misled neighbors by saying Olumma collapsed while eating and complained of chest pain. She insisted that Olumma was healthy and had plans to go to the market the next morning.
The family also revealed that they had previously warned Kelechi against abusing Olumma and had encouraged her to return home to avoid further violence. The allegations have drawn public outrage and renewed calls for stronger enforcement against domestic violence.
