Nnamdi Kanu, through his lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, don file a defamation suit at the Enugu High Court. He no dey smile, as he dey ask for serious compensation. Kanu wants the court to declare Bashir’s statements as defamatory, which he believes don harm his reputation and image. Kanu also dey demand a public apology in major newspapers like The Guardian, The Sun, and Daily Trust. Kanu’s Lawyer Claims Bashir’s Statements are Malicious
Kanu’s legal team talk say the claims Bashir made about him being a terrorist are not only false but also malicious. They believe that Bashir’s post don put Kanu in a bad light, especially as it was spread across popular sites like Talkofnaija.com and Phoenix-Browser.com. Kanu no just dey feel bad for himself; him dey think about how these statements don affect him internationally, particularly in Nigeria. They say millions of people don read the defamatory posts, causing irreversible harm to Kanu’s name.
Court Demand: Bashir Must Show Up or Face Judgment!
According to the legal documents (Writ of Summons marked 40/2025), Kanu’s lawyer don request that Bashir come defend himself in court. If Bashir no show up in the next 42 days after receiving the court papers, the judge go give judgment in Kanu’s favor.
