The event, which took place on 6 November 2023 at the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Parade Ground, Chari Maigumeri Barracks, Lokoja, marked a significant step in the Army’s preparedness to support the electoral process and maintain peace and security in Kogi State during the electioneering period.

The flag-off ceremony was presided over by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Bamidele Alabi, who emphasized the importance of Operation Safe Conduct in ensuring that the people of Kogi State can exercise their right to vote in a safe and secure environment.
