The man, wey be pastor and businessman from Cross River State, don regain him freedom after Benin President, Patrice Talon, sign presidential pardon wey dem gazette since December 17, 2025.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, confirm say the release happen on Thursday, January 8. According to her, na strong diplomacy, patience, and plenty follow-follow make the matter finally end well. As Naija people go talk am: “No be today monkey dey work, na today e dey chop banana.”
