NAFDAC Don Shut Down ₦50 Million Fake Cosmetics Factory for Lagos

Wahala don land for Lagos as National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) shut down one facility wey dem catch dey produce fake cosmetics and skincare products worth over ₦50 million.

According to reports, the factory dey operate for Agege area and dey package their product as “organic skincare.” But NAFDAC officials yarn say wetin dem dey push out na complete counterfeit wey fit harm people skin.

The raid happen after National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control waka with tip-off. When dem storm the place, dem meet fake creams, soaps, body oils and different packaging materials ready for market.

NAFDAC Warn Nigerians: “Shine Your Eye”

After the shutdown, NAFDAC drop warning give Nigerians make dem dey careful about wetin dem rub for body. Dem say plenty counterfeit cosmetics dey Lagos market and people wey dey rush cheap “organic” product fit dey endanger their health.

One official talk say: “If you dey use unregistered products, you dey risk skin damage, cancer, and other health wahala. Shine your eye, check National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control number before you buy.”

Lagos Residents Clap For NAFDAC Action

Residents for Agege and other parts of Lagos dey hail NAFDAC for the action. Some say the fake skincare products don full market too much, especially among young people wey dey rush bleaching and toning cream.

Community leaders dey beg National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control make the enforcement no stop here. Dem dey request say continuous monitoring and shutdown go help protect citizens.

For now, the counterfeit facility don lock up, products don confiscate, and investigation still dey on top who dey behind the illegal operation. National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control don vow say anybody wey dey push fake cosmetics go collect heavy sanction.
