Exhumation Ordered Amid Family Feud Over Mohbad’s Estate
Amidst allegations and counter-allegations among Mohbad‘s distant relatives concerning his estate shortly after his demise.
The decision to exhume his body follows these allegations and concerns have been raised over the swift burial in Ikorodu, Lagos, which occurred just a day after his passing. The singer’s father, however, has attributed the haste to the observance of Yoruba customs.
The Nigeria Police in the Lagos Police Command have made a commitment to conduct an exhaustive inquiry into his death, further enlisting the involvement of the Department of State Service (DSS) as per the request of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a recent update, Lagos Police spokesperson Ben Hundeyin has confirmed the completion of Mohbad’s exhumation, with plans for the autopsy to commence shortly.
