May Edochie, the estranged wife of popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has opened up about how she first met her ex-husband, revealing that their love story began long before fame and the spotlight. According to her, she had just relocated from Lagos to Enugu State to further her education at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) when she encountered Yul, who at the time was studying at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT). May recalled that she was a quiet and serious-minded student who focused primarily on her academics.

“In those days, I was deeply focused on my studies. I wasn’t the social type, and we didn’t meet at a party or any fancy event. It was just at a GCE centre, of all places,” she said with a soft laugh.
