The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Tunde Ajayi, talk for press briefing say this same church don sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) plenty times, but e still dey make noise like generator for midnight. Dr. Ajayi remind Lagosians say even though everybody get right to worship, nobody get right to disturb another person peace. He say noise pollution na health matter, e fit cause hypertension and stress, so Lagos no go tolerate am again.
He talk say the agency go continue their “zero-tolerance” campaign against noise and other environmental pollution. According to am, once dem catch any church, mosque or hotel wey break the State Environmental Law (2018 as amended), sealing and court case go follow.
Finally, LASEPA beg residents to report any noise wahala near them so that government go fit act quick. He say the aim na to make Lagos a clean, peaceful and livable city for everybody.
