Kaduna State Police Command don rescue 10 people wey kidnappers hold hostage for almost five months. According to the police, the victims na men, women, and small pikin wey dem carry from different parts of the state.
The operation happen after police gather strong intelligence wey lead them to one bush area for Birnin Gwari Local Government. As police storm the hideout, gun battle break out, but the kidnappers later run comot leave the victims behind.
Police spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirm say all the rescued people don dey safe and dem don already receive medical attention before reuniting with their families.
Kaduna Police Vow to Continue Hot Chase on Kidnappers
After the successful rescue, Kaduna Police Command don talk say dem no go rest until dem clear all the kidnappers wey dey operate for the state. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Audu, hail the officers wey take part in the rescue mission, say their bravery no be small.
He talk say the police don also recover weapons and food supplies wey the kidnappers dey use for their base. According to am, the operation na part of the larger effort under “Operation Whirl Punch” wey dey target criminals for the Northwest.
The CP promise say any gang wey no surrender go meet their waterloo because Kaduna no go continue to dey live under fear of bandits and kidnappers.
Victims Thank Kaduna Police, Beg Government for More Security
The rescued victims don thank the police for risking their lives to save dem from the kidnappers’ den. Some of them yarn say dem suffer hunger, sickness, and beating during the months wey dem spend for bush.
One of the rescued victims talk say, “We no believe say we go ever see light again. Na God and police make we escape this hell.”
Residents of the affected communities don beg the government make dem deploy more security agents and ensure regular patrol to stop another kidnapping wahala from happening again.
