In a shocking outcome, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been compelled to suspend elections in various locations across Kogi State due to reported incidents of egregious electoral malpractices. These malpractices, including the completion of result sheets before voting took place, have raised serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process in the state.
Reports received by the Commission indicate that these incidents were concentrated in Adavi, Ajaokuta, Ogori/Magongo, Okehi, and Okene Local Government Areas. Of particular concern is the severity of the malpractices in Ogori/Magongo, where nine out of the 10 Registration Areas were significantly affected. The Commission deems such actions entirely unacceptable and is determined to take decisive measures against those responsible.
Suspension of Elections in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area
