Lagos State Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) don launch fresh campaign to make sure all health centers and hospitals for Lagos dey safe and standard. The agency say the new move go help improve public awareness about safe medical practice for every corner of the state.
According to the Executive Secretary of HEFAMAA, Dr. Abiola Idowu, the campaign go reach even local clinics, chemist shops, and small health centers for grassroots areas. She talk say the goal na to make sure health workers and facility owners follow the right rules to protect patients from avoidable danger.
She add say government dey serious about raising health standards for Lagos residents. “We no go allow quack doctors or fake clinics endanger people life again,” she talk during the campaign flag-off for Ikeja.
HEFAMAA Go Monitor and Train Health Workers Across Local Councils
As part of the campaign, HEFAMAA officials don begin to monitor health facilities across all 20 local government areas of Lagos. Dem dey also carry out training for nurses, midwives, and doctors on proper hygiene, patient care, and facility management.
Dr. Idowu talk say the campaign no be only about inspection but also education. “We dey show dem the right way to keep clinics clean, safe, and compliant with Lagos health regulations,” she yarn.
She also advise community members to report any suspicious or unregistered health center to the agency. “If e no get HEFAMAA certificate, no go there,” she warn residents.
Lagosians Praise HEFAMAA for Effort to Improve Health Standard
Lagos residents don hail HEFAMAA for the initiative, saying the grassroots campaign go help reduce the number of fake hospitals and unqualified health workers. One resident from Agege talk say, “Plenty people dey suffer because dem no know which clinic legit. This campaign go save many lives.”
Another trader from Mushin talk say e happy say government don finally remember the local areas. “Dem don dey reach our side now, no be only big hospitals dem dey check,” she add.
Social media users too don join praise, calling the move a “life-saving project.” Many people talk say if Lagos fit maintain this kind energy, the state go soon become example for other parts of Nigeria to follow.
