Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Confidently Declares PDP “Finished” in Uplifting Speech Ahead of Ondo Gubernatorial Election

As the November 16th gubernatorial election in Ondo State draws near, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has made a bold declaration, asserting that the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is “dead” in the state. Speaking during a campaign tour across several communities in the Ese-Odo council area, Aiyedatiwa urged the electorate not to waste their votes on the PDP, which he claimed no longer holds significant influence in the state.

Addressing residents of Igbobini, Kiribo, and Igbotu, the APC candidate thanked the people for their continued support and called on them to exercise their right to vote wisely. “I want to thank you for your patience and support. Come November 16, you must troop out en masse and vote for the APC to continue the development in our state,” he said. Aiyedatiwa emphasized that with key figures from the PDP now aligning with the APC, the ruling party remains the only viable option for sustained progress in Ondo.

Developmental Achievements Under Aiyedatiwa’s Administration

Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted the significant strides his administration has made in developing Ondo State, citing investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He reassured voters that his government is committed to doing more, particularly in areas such as road construction, school improvements, and hospital renovations. The governor also mentioned plans to hire more teachers to improve the quality of education across the state.

“We are employing more teachers and ensuring our schools, hospitals, and roads receive the attention they need. Our administration has also made Ondo a safer place for all,” Aiyedatiwa stated. He urged voters to recognize the positive changes brought about by his government and to ensure continuity by voting for the APC. “Your vote is your power; don’t waste it on parties that have no clear plan for the future of our state,” he added, warning that votes for other parties could derail ongoing development efforts.

Traditional Rulers and Community Leaders Endorse Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

The governor’s tour was met with enthusiastic support from traditional rulers and community leaders in the Ese-Odo council area. At Bolowo, the Anananawe of Bolowou, Judge Ugulapelewei Jemine, praised Aiyedatiwa’s administration for its infrastructural advancements. The traditional ruler commended the governor for delivering on promises made to the people and for appointing local sons and daughters to key political positions.

We are not surprised by the progress we see today because we saw it coming. Your administration has shown a clear commitment to our communities, and we are pleased with the results,” Jemine stated. He expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership, which has brought tangible improvements to the area. The traditional endorsement bolsters Aiyedatiwa’s campaign as he seeks to secure another term in office.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Calls for Continued Grassroots Campaign

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa urged his supporters to remain active in their campaign efforts, particularly at the grassroots level. He called on them to engage in door-to-door outreach, ensuring that every eligible voter understands the importance of supporting the APC in the upcoming election. “Do not relent. We must continue our house-to-house campaign to secure victory on November 16,” he said.

Speaking at Kiribo, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support his campaign has received and emphasized the importance of steadfastness in the final stretch of the election season. He also warned against complacency, urging voters to turn out in large numbers on Election Day to ensure the APC’s victory. “We have worked hard, but we must not let our guard down. The future of Ondo State is in your hands,” Aiyedatiwa concluded.
