Federal Government don deport 51 foreign nationals wey dem convict for cybercrime matter across Nigeria. According to Ministry of Interior, the deportees come from different African and Asian countries wey don turn Nigeria to base for online fraud.
The suspects, wey court don already jail before, finish their sentence recently before dem hand dem over to immigration for deportation. Federal Government say the move na part of effort to sanitize the system and protect the country image for outside.
Minister of Interior still warn say Nigeria no go ever be safe zone for internet criminals again. He talk say all foreign nationals must obey the law or face deportation without mercy.
Cybercrime No Get Space Again for Naija – FG Vow to Tighten Security
The Federal Government don team up with EFCC, Police, and Immigration Service to increase surveillance against online scammers. Dem talk say plenty fake “tech workers” and “crypto investors” from outside countries dey use Naija as hideout to scam people globally.
Immigration Comptroller-General talk say dem don dey monitor visa records and online activities of foreign residents closely. “If we see say you dey engage in criminal activity, na one-way ticket go your country,” he warn.
Federal Government also announce new tech-driven monitoring system wey go make it easier to track cybercrime suspects in real time. “We dey fight them with technology too,” EFCC official talk proudly.
