What they uncovered shocked the entire community: soakaway pits in the backyard filled with decomposing human bodies, including those of pregnant women and children. One 13-year-old girl, reportedly moments away from becoming another victim, was rescued during the operation.

The discovery has left a permanent scar on the community’s psyche. Residents described the compound as a house of horror disguised as a spiritual center. “We thought he was helping people with traditional medicine,” said one community elder. “We never imagined he was burying innocent souls alive.”

Escape Foiled: Immigration Nabs Ezeani Enugu Native Doctor at Border While Police Remain Silent

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, border patrol officers arrested the suspect at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry-Seme Road as he attempted to flee the country on a motorcycle, carrying a small bag and a National Identity slip confirming his identity.
