EFCC Arraign Peace Corps Oga, Finance Madam Over Alleged ₦46m Badge Palava

EFCC no dey sleep, as dem land Abuja High Court with Nigeria Peace Corps Commandant, Dickson Akon, and Finance Director, Omolola Aminat Ahmed, over wetin dem call serious money wahala. According to gist, the duo face charges of conspiracy and alleged misappropriation of public funds.

According to charge sheet, EFCC allege say for 2024, both Akon and Ahmed sit down agree to do wetin Penal Code no like at all — criminal misappropriation. Dem say na full plan, no mistake, no calculator error.

The second count talk say out of the ₦60 million wey approve for badge supply, ₦46 million waka commot go personal use. Meaning say only small remain for badge, while big part allegedly go on private journey.

EFCC say this kain move break Section 96 and Section 308 of the Penal Code for FCT. As for badge, na court go later confirm whether e reach uniform or e park for account balance.

Court Say: Bail Don Drop, Case Still Dey Road

When dem read the charges, both defendants clear mouth say dem no guilty. EFCC lawyer, Khalid Sanusi, sharply ask court to remand dem, but defence lawyer, Emmanuel Agabi, no gree — e push for bail with full chest.

Justice Yusuf balance the scale and grant bail. Court say make each person bring ₦5 million, plus two sureties wey get sense and money like that. So for now, nobody sleep for cell — everybody go house, but matter no end.

Judge adjourn the case reach February 25, 2026. Until then, EFCC badge dey shine, Peace Corps badge dey under question, and Nigerians dey watch as courtroom season continue.
