Bola Tinubu don receive strong commendation from Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, who says the President’s administration has done well, especially in security, health and finance. Mohammed made the remarks on Monday while receiving the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, during their visit to Bauchi.
The real political pepper inside the matter be say Mohammed is not a governor from Tinubu’s governing political camp, yet he openly acknowledged federal intervention in Bauchi. According to him, he approached the President when insecurity was becoming severe and Tinubu responded. Now the question wey naturally dey hang for air be whether this praise na temporary political courtesy or simply one governor giving credit where he believes credit dey due.
Bola Tinubu and Bauchi Security: When Politics Enter Second Position
Governor Bala Mohammed specifically praised Tinubu over the establishment of two military battalions in Alkaleri and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas. He said the Federal Government also deployed a high-powered security contingent involving the National Security Adviser, military services and other security agencies after he sought assistance. Mohammed further said the intervention helped residents who had been displaced by insecurity return to their communities and resume farming.
For Bauchi security, the governor’s account presents the federal intervention as a major response to the threat facing affected communities. But one important distinction remains: establishment of military formations is a security measure, not automatic proof that insecurity has been permanently defeated. The long-term test will be whether communities remain safe, farmers can work without fear and security operations can prevent fresh attacks. In other words, military presence fit provide strong protection, but peace still needs consistent work.
Bola Tinubu’s Finance and Health Agenda Meets Bauchi Reality
Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms also received praise from Mohammed, who said states are getting more resources and can use the additional funds to improve infrastructure and public services. During the same visit, Federal officials linked economic reforms to development projects, while the government highlighted the commissioning of a major radiodiagnostic centre in Bauchi as part of a wider health infrastructure programme. (Economi Confidential)
The wider health picture, however, still get another side. The Federal Ministry of Health says government has expanded health infrastructure and financing initiatives, including projects across different levels of healthcare, but it has also acknowledged that affordability remains a serious challenge for Nigerians. (Health Nigeria) On the economic side, the administration says its reforms are aimed at stabilising the macroeconomy, strengthening institutions and creating room for investment and development. (State House Abuja) So, Bala Mohammed’s praise reflects visible interventions, but the bigger judgement will ultimately come from whether ordinary Nigerians feel those improvements in their pockets, hospitals, farms and communities.
For Tinubu and Bauchi security, the immediate takeaway be say political differences no stop federal and state governments from working together when insecurity threatens citizens. Bala Mohammed’s unusual praise has therefore added another layer to the political conversation, but OGM News Pidgin go continue to watch whether the military presence, health projects and economic reforms produce lasting results for ordinary people. Because for Nigerians, praise fit make headline today, but na the condition of the road, pocket, hospital and community tomorrow morning go tell the real story.
