Police Arrest Commissioner as Investigation Enter Gbas Gbos Stage Over Delta Deputy Director Death

The matter surrounding the death of Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda, Deputy Director for Secondary Education in Delta State, don turn serious gbas gbos as police don arrest Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu, alongside three other suspects. The latest arrests reportedly bring the number of people currently in police custody to five, while police say two other persons are still being sought.

Police Investigation Don Expand From One Arrest To Five

The whole matter start after Adeda reportedly died following an incident at the office of the Commissioner for Secondary Education in Asaba. Police initially arrested Lucky Adoh, one of the commissioner’s aides, while Enos Attah and Oputa Okestine were being sought over allegations connected with the incident.

Now, according to the latest police update, Commissioner Ashibogwu and three other suspects have joined those already in custody. Police say the development is part of efforts to establish exactly what happened before Adeda’s death, meaning the investigation don move from “who get information?” to “everybody come explain yourself.”

Delta Police Say “Everybody Come Explain Yourself” As Commissioner Joins Custody List

Police say investigators are examining available video footage, eyewitness accounts, medical records and the actions of everybody connected with the incident. The command has also said that anybody found culpable will face the law, regardless of status or position.

Meanwhile, the police say two people — identified as Director of Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs Clemetine Ufuoma, and Clement Apia, the commissioner’s driver — are being sought to assist the investigation. As the case continues, the big question no longer be ordinary office gossip: investigators now have to separate confirmed facts from allegations and establish the circumstances surrounding Adeda’s death.
