According to the police, the incident happened around midnight on September 15, 2026, after Aminu allegedly teamed up with the two others to attack the house where his mother and siblings dey stay.

The alleged operation reportedly ended with the family losing ₦200,000 cash, two mobile phones and one power bank. The suspects were later arrested by operatives attached to Karewa Area Command after the mother reported the matter to the police. According to the Adamawa Police Command, Aminu, alongside Adamu Mamman, 22, and Nuhu Umar, 22, all reportedly from Wuro-Kuturu, were arrested on September 17 after the complaint was lodged. Police spokesman SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje said the suspects allegedly entered the residence and robbed Aminu’s mother and siblings.

The police said some items were recovered during the investigation and added that the suspects allegedly confessed during interrogation. The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has directed a thorough investigation and prosecution in line with the outcome of the investigation. As usual, the word “allegedly” remains very important here because arrest and police allegations no be the same thing as conviction by a court.
