Comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has apologised to her husband and fans after a viral stage moment with singer Timaya triggered a wave of reactions online. According to her explanation, she was backstage enjoying Timaya’s performance when he invited a woman onto the stage, prompting her to rush forward in her usual energetic fashion.
The comedian later explained that she did not know Timaya intended to carry her during his performance of “Ukwu.” She said she was initially reluctant and even tried to decline before eventually joining the performance, turning what appeared to be a spontaneous entertainment moment into another social-media controversy.
One Stage, Plenty Energy and Plenty Reactions
Real Warri Pikin reportedly accepted responsibility for the situation and appealed to Nigerians to take it easy on her. In true Warri Pikin fashion, the apology itself carried plenty of humour, but behind the jokes was a clear acknowledgement that the viral clip had generated serious reactions.
The comedian also revealed that her husband, Ikechukwu, was unhappy about the incident. So, while Timaya may have been concentrating on entertaining the audience, Real Warri Pikin suddenly found herself facing what could unofficially be described as a second audience — the internet and her husband.

The episode comes at a time when Real Warri Pikin has already experienced considerable public attention around her entertainment career. In August, she cancelled a planned Delta State comedy show following controversy over its “Warri” branding and the location of the proposed venue. The dispute was later resolved after meetings involving the comedian and Delta stakeholders.
