Zamfara Bandits Meet Police “No Be Today” Treatment As Two Abducted Victims Regain Freedom

The police for Zamfara State don turn one bandit’s kidnapping journey into unexpected ending after security operatives rescue two abducted persons and neutralise one armed suspect during operation for Talata Mafara Local Government Area. The operation happen around Tashar Lawali Village for Kagara District on August 24, according to police information reported by multiple Nigerian news sources.

According to the police account, tactical operatives, Community Protection Guard members and Civilian JTF personnel intercept a group of armed bandits moving on five motorcycles with abducted persons. The suspects reportedly open fire after spotting the security team, but the joint team respond and force them to retreat.

For the bandits, the operation apparently start like ordinary movement but end like journey wey conductor suddenly announce say, “Everybody come down.” One suspect is neutralised during the encounter, while two of the abducted victims are rescued. Other members of the gang reportedly escape into the surrounding area, with some said to have sustained injuries. No member of the joint security team reportedly suffer injury.
