Akwa Ibom Governor, Umo Eno don yan say him no ban EKPO Masquerade for di state. Di governor clear everybody say di masquerade fit still perform, but dem no go fit waka perform for street again.

Umo Eno explain say di decision na part of government plan to maintain peace and reduce wahala for obodo. E add say di masquerade culture dey important for Akwa Ibom tradition, and him go still support dem to perform inside approved venues.

Di governor call on residents make dem respect di new arrangement, make culture continue dey without any gbege. E yan say na safety and public order make government take di step.

Governor Umo Eno don make am clear say di EKPO Masquerade no dey banned for di state. Him yan say di masquerade fit still perform for festivals, halls, or other designated places, but street performance no dey allowed again.

Di governor talk say di decision no be to stop culture, na to prevent wahala and traffic wey dey happen anytime di masquerade dey waka for street. E assure say government still dey promote and preserve cultural heritage.

Local chiefs and cultural leaders don support di decision, dem talk say e go help organize cultural shows well and make sure say everybody dey safe anytime masquerade dey perform.
