The State Police Command talk say the suspects dey deliberately use fake news to mislead people and create wahala for community. Police add say dem dey monitor social media closely to catch people wey dey spread misinformation.
Dem suspects don already face court for Akwa Ibom where dem don get charge wey talk say spreading fake news na crime under Nigerian law. Police warn say anybody wey dey involved for this kain activity go face serious legal action.

Police spokesperson talk say, “We no go tolerate anybody wey dey mislead public with fake news. Our officers dey on top all this kind matter and we go continue to protect residents from panic.” The five suspects na between 25 and 40 years old.
