Oluremi Tinubu Sparks Debate After ₦200,000 Disability Grants Trigger Questions on Transparency

Oluremi Tinubu has unveiled a far-reaching empowerment initiative providing ₦200,000 each to 9,500 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across Nigeria. The First Lady said the programme is a direct demonstration of her commitment to inclusive development and renewed hope for vulnerable citizens. She emphasized that national progress must include those who have historically been neglected.

Oluremi Tinubu explained that the rollout of the fund covered all 36 states and the FCT, ensuring balanced representation across the disability community. Her office worked with organisations of persons with disabilities, state coordinators, and grassroots networks to ensure the credibility of the selection process.
