Women Doctors Don Treat 2,000 Nasarawa Residents Free of Charge – Health Matter No Be Joke

Women doctors under the umbrella of Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) don storm Nasarawa State with one free medical outreach wey benefit over 2,000 residents. The program happen for Lafia and other nearby communities as part of their effort to promote good health and give back to society.

Plenty men, women and children troop come the venue to collect free treatment, drugs and health advice. The doctors focus on malaria, blood pressure, diabetes and other common sickness wey dey worry the people.

According to one of the coordinators, the outreach na to reduce the stress wey people dey face for hospital, especially for rural areas wey health centre no too dey work well.

Women Doctors Say Na to Save Lives and Promote Healthy Living

The MWAN president for Nasarawa chapter, Dr. Hauwa’u Bala, talk say the association no fit fold hand see people dey suffer from sickness because of money. She explain say the outreach na part of their mission to touch lives and promote healthy living across the state.

She add say the group don already plan another round of outreach for secondary schools and rural communities, where dem go do free medical test and health talk for women and children.

According to her, health no suppose be luxury, and government plus private sector suppose join hand with them to make sure say people dey access medical care easily.

Nasarawa Residents Hail Women Doctors, Beg Government for More Support

Plenty people wey benefit from the free treatment don dey hail the women doctors for their kindness and selfless service. Some of them talk say the doctors na real angels because dem no only treat people, dem still give free drugs and food.

One elderly woman talk say she don get peace of mind after dem check her blood pressure and give her medicine wey she no fit afford before.

The community leaders beg government make dem support women doctors with funds and equipment so that the program fit continue and reach other local governments for Nasarawa.
