The Special Intervention Squad, in a joint operation with the aforementioned agencies, successfully apprehended sixteen notorious criminals. Among the paraded suspects were the three prime culprits behind a spate of armed robberies and kidnappings in the Bwari Local Government Area and other parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Identified as Idris Ishaku, Bala Umar, and Dahiru Salisu—all 27 years old—the trio had wreaked havoc with their criminal activities. The operation also resulted in the recovery of a substantial arsenal, including a general purpose machine gun (GPMG) and other sophisticated firearms.
